Message Behind the Music

One of the most powerful weapons our enemy uses against us is isolation. Isolation makes us feel that we are not only all alone, but we are lost and without hope. This lie is something we have probably all experienced in one way or another at times in our lives. The beauty of the gospel is that it is completely free and it extends to everyone. Matthew 11:28 says, “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” I’m reminded of this truth each time I sing my song “Come to Me.” Wherever we find ourselves, we have a friend in Jesus who sticks closer than a brother and He promises to never leave us or forsake us. “No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, there is forgiveness if you’ll only come.”

Worship leader and singer-songwriter Kyle Sherman presents his debut album, Hear Me—an eclectic and authentic mix of rootsy, southern soul.
