"Space Dogs: Adventure to the Moon" is an animated marvel. It features terrific animation, excellent voice actors, plenty of interesting sets and planets, and a lot of scope for the imagination. Your entire family will enjoy this space adventure, which features delightful characters, such as Belka, Strelka, Kazbek, Pushok, and Lenny, the rat. Dogs, rats, chimps, a fat cat, and other interesting characters deal with an alien device that steals various items from the Earth and takes them to the moon. The flight to the moon is an interesting journey with a lot going on before the travelers get there and even after they do. The humor is great, too. In a scene in the hospital, two chimps are in casts and one says to his friend, "This is the longest I've ever gone without scratching." Also, the scene in which a dog is riding in a car and has his tongue hanging out the window is very funny. Another moment of comedy is when a chimp lands on the moon and declares it a "planet of the apes."
The movie includes some moments of fantasy-like violence, with animals being whacked or knocked out, but none of it is gratuitous. The moral of the story is to dream big. A certain dog searches for his father and finds him, which shows that family loyalty is big in this movie, too. We are excited to award it our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for all ages. "Space Dogs" is an exciting adventure to the moon and back.
