As far as new music, movies and upcoming Christian music tours, there are several highly anticipated tours to check out, including Newsboys United and Casting Crowns. Here are a few you won’t want to miss.

On the heels of the history-making #1 album, United, the Newsboys United will hit the road this fall for a highly-anticipated tour. By popular demand, the “Greatness Of Our God” Tour will once again bring together the group’s former members Peter Furler and Phil Joel with Newsboys’ Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein and Jody Davis for a fall tour that will travel to more than 30 cities across the country.  Taking the stage to perform such new United fan favorites as “Greatness Of Our God” and “Symphony,” the Christian music super-group will also deliver hit after hit, spanning Newsboys’ three decade career, from recent chart-toppers like “God’s Not Dead” and “We Believe,” to classics like “Shine” and “Entertaining Angels,” and more. Kicking-off September 12 in Troy, Ohio, the tour will feature GRAMMY®-nominated Gotee recording artist Ryan Stevenson, along with singer/songwriter Adam Agee and a special guest appearance by former dcTalk member and singer/songwriter Kevin Max. Hillsong UNITED recently announced the release of People (Deluxe). The compilation is an extension of the group’s record-breaking “People” live album and features seven brand new acoustic offerings and reworked versions of fan favorites such as “Good Grace,” “Whole Heart (Hold Me Now),” “Another In The Fire,” “Highlands,” “Holy Ground” and “Here’s To The One,” as well as an exclusive radio edit of “Good Grace.” In support of the new music, Hillsong UNITED returned to the United States earlier this year for the first time in nearly three years for the “People” Tour, which resulted in multiple sold-out shows, including LA’s Staples Center, NYC’s Madison Square Garden and D.C.’s The Anthem. The group just announced that it will expand the tour and add six new dates in September. Presented by Premier Productions, cities added include Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Louisville, Oklahoma City and Bossier City. Tickets for the newly added dates are available at hillsongunited.com.

The movie Breakthrough tells the inspiring story of the Smith family and how God breaks through to bring hope and healing. Breakthrough stars Chrissy Metz as Joyce Smith, a mother who will do anything for her family. Marcel Ruiz plays her son John, a middle-schooler trying to find his place in the world. Along with Josh Lucas as the dad, Topher Grace as the family’s pastor, Mike Colter as a first responder, and Dennis Haysbert as a world-renowned doctor, the cast brings this powerful true story to life. Breakthrough will be available on Digital on July 2 and on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD on July 16. Visit your local Christian bookstore to pick up a copy.

Two-time GRAMMY® nominated and multi-platinum band Skillet will play at major Christian music festivals this summer and is readying to release the band’s 10th full length album, Victorious on August 2 from Atlantic Records. Victorious is the follow up to the RIAA Gold-certified Unleashed. In August, Skillet will headline a tour with mainstream acts Sevendust and special guests Pop Evil and Devour the Day. GRAMMY® winning, multi-platinum group Casting Crowns will extend its popular “Only Jesus Tour” this fall, following a successful 37-city spring run which included multiple sell-outs in arenas across the country. The tour, which takes its name from the band’s current top-selling album Only Jesus, will feature a brand-new lineup for the fall, including artist Kari Jobe, songwriter/worship leader Cody Carnes (who is also married to Jobe) and newcomer Jamie Kimmett. The concert will be hosted by hip-hop act Zauntee.  Presented by Compassion International, the fall leg will kick off on September 19, in El Paso, Texas, and will travel to Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Houston, Baltimore and more before wrapping up on October 26 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
