A New Season of Life
Several weeks ago, I left my teaching job to write full time for children and teens. After a few mornings of lingering over my morning coffee, I turned to the task of cleaning and reorganizing my office. Out went the teaching books and materials. They found new homes with beginning teachers. Their vacancy made room for more writing books and more space to focus on ideas and putting words on paper.
“It is a new season of life,” I keep reminding myself, in awe about how God works.
It reminds me of many new seasons in the past. The seasons of learning to drive, going away to college, becoming a teacher, getting married, and having children. Each season is a fresh, new opportunity and adventure in following God, and in each season I see how He has prepared in the past.
What about you? Is God calling you to a new season of life? How has He used the past to equip you for your new journey?
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
-Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV
