Digital Ageby The Digital Age

The word “Captured” does not necessarily elicit warm, fuzzy feelings. According to the dictionary, to capture is to “take by force” or to “take possession of.” Fortunately, our God is famous for going against the grain and turning the things of this world on end. And when he captures us, our life is changed for the better and we experience ultimate joy. It is only when we are captured by him that we are freed completely.

One of the greatest feelings is to be fully enveloped by the love of Christ. His love and grace are perfect and unending, and to be caught up in His glory is nothing short of amazing. When we wrote our latest song, “Captured” we were inspired by Romans 8:39 which says “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” God’s love is so powerful that there isn’t a single thing that can separate us from His love once we have accepted Him.

Romans 8:2 also boasts, “because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Have you been captured by Christ yet? If so, bask in that freedom. If not, maybe today is the today that you can experience the life change that happen when God steps in and captures you.

Love You’ve captured me again
Love You steal my heart
When I reach out You’re always there

Love has come to rescue me
Your love has come to set me free
Your love is all I need

Love You’ve captured me again
Oh my God you steal my heart
When I cry out You’re always there

I’ve never felt more found
Than when I’m lost in You
My head may spin around
Like the stars of the night sky do
