Sweet summertime is just around the corner.  I join millions of children, parents, and grandparents in counting down the days until that slow-down-bit season. What comes to your mind when you think of summer? Barbeques, picnics, swimming, and reading are a few that come to my mind. Growing up, I loved trips to the library to search the shelves for new and revisited pathways to adventure. And books were always a staple in the one bag per customer rule in our car. Always.

I still look forward to extra reading time in the summer. I will have a few more minutes to linger over the pages of God’s Word in the mornings as I drink my coffee on the deck. I will enjoy surveying my local Christian bookstore’s shelves for those new pathways to adventure through Christian fiction and nonfiction, too. Some new titles will find their way into my bag as I travel. Always.

What about you? What memories come to mind when you think of summer? What new books will you enjoy during the sweet summertime this year?
