I fell in love with science fiction more than 50 years ago…back when “good” girls were not supposed to read it. Of course there were the ABCs (Asimov, Bradbury and Clarke) but there was also Madeleine L’Engle, Zenna Henderson, Andre Norton and more who could be counted on for great storytelling and wonderful adventures. As the genre has grown more dystopian, it is no longer fun to read. I welcome your efforts to change that trend. Oh…and back when I was a librarian, I always had multiple copies of your YA novels on the shelf.
