Welcome to MTL
More. A simple word with a variety of expectations. More sleep. More money. More recognition. More happiness. More success. But what about more life?
I’m reminded of what Jesus said about having more life. John 10:10 says, “I (Jesus) came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
In all that I can contemplate, what will really bring me more life? The answer is simple. Jesus. Why do I make it so complicated? Why do I find myself looking for more stuff—or even demanding more from Jesus. The reality is that I need more of Jesus.
How often I’ve looked for the blessings of God in the faces of others instead of in God’s face. How many times have I expected the hands of someone else to bless me instead of accepting exactly what God has already provided? It seems so easy for me to overlook all that God has for me.
I’m grateful for the abundance of men and women whom God has so graciously gifted with the ability to communicate the truths of His Word—people like Max Lucado and Lisa Harper, who beautifully weave stories and biblical exposition to help us understand God’s grace, or Karen Kingsbury and Randy Alcorn, who develop characters and storylines that inspire, entertain and teach us about God through fiction. These authors and musicians have become friends of More to Life (MTL) Magazine.
As you look for the answers to life’s questions, we encourage you to interact and engage with MTL and its friends. We believe that with all good questions, Scripture provides answers. That’s why we’ve assembled some of the best authors, speakers, ministry leaders, pastors, music artists, actors and everyday folks to draw out the practical truths of learning what it means to have more life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
At More to Life, you’ll find seven categories that generally encompass the Christian walk: Life, World, Money, Health, Home, Faith, Family and Relationships. You’ll find life stories and testimonies, practical tips to help you manage your money, ideas to improve your home, advice on how to make the most of your relationships, ways to grow in your faith and more!
I invite you to spend some time with us. Over the next few weeks, we’ll introduce you to some old friends and new voices. We are always adding new content and encourage you to add your comments, thoughts, ideas and observations about what God is teaching you as you seek to live with the understanding that Jesus has come to bring us life—and life more abundant.
Welcome to the new More to Life. It’s a joy to have you join us!
