Our local Christian Bookstore recently expanded in exciting ways. The owner’s long-held dream of adding a café, where patrons can linger with friends and enjoy a coffee, is now a reality. It has also become the location of their new Friday night coffee houses, in which they showcase local Christian music groups, host other fun events, such as a trivia night, and in June, will inaugurate Author Nights. I have the privilege of being their first fiction author for the new venue, which is fast becoming a popular gathering place for the Christian community, and a nice night out.

I so appreciate the tremendous support I’ve received from the owner. My first few published novels were mass-paperback titles with Love Inspired Suspense, not a brand small bookstores typically bring in. But the owners both hosted a book signing and retained a large number of copies to stock. It’s proven to be a win-win situation, since I can refer readers, who are looking for my older out-of-print books, to them, and they in turn gain new customers.

DesperateMeasuresSandra Orchard is the award-winning author of Deadly Devotion, Blind Trust and Desperate Measures, mysteries from Revell Publishing, and of numerous Love Inspired Suspense titles, including a Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award winner.
